Mountain View provides American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation during the Sunday morning worship service, presenting both the praise songs and the pastor's message to the hearing-impaired community. The primary goal is to honor and glorify the Lord through sign.

 

Over the years, we have been blessed to have several of our members fluent to varying degrees in ASL, including youth and children, and all are happy to share fellowship through sign. This ministry has been provided since 2001.

 

Our hope is that someone will be encouraged to step our of their “comfort zone” and approach a neighbor, class mate or co-worker and enter their deaf world with a smile, pad and pen and learn sign language to communicate Jesus to a deaf person.

 

"How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?"
